Welcomes Sharif F. Nagueh, MD

Sharif F. Nagueh, MD recently joined the ICAEL Board of Directors. Dr. Nagueh serves the Board as a representative of the American College of Cardiology. He is currently Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Associate Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Methodist DeBakey Heart Center, Houston, Texas. Dr. Nagueh's research interests are in the evaluation of diastolic function and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and he has published a number of articles on both topics. Dr. Nagueh is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, and Clinical Science, and he serves as a peer reviewer for many other journals. He is also one of the associate editors of Cardiosource, the electronic educational media of the American College of Cardiology.
