Beverly L. Gorman, RDCS
Named ICAEL Technical Manager
In late May, the ICAEL welcomed Beverly Gorman, RDCS
as the organization's new Technical Manager. With over
20 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, Ms. Gorman
comes to the ICAEL with extensive clinical expertise in
both adult and pediatric echocardiography. |

Ms. Gorman began her career in 1981 as a medical assistant/cardiac
sonographer, training in echo under the supervision of a registered
sonographer and a cardiologist. In October 1988, she earned
the designation of Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
(RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography by the American Registry of
Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Her many years of experience
have been based in settings ranging from the private practice
to the large hospital, and most recently she was a clinical
sales specialist for an ultrasound equipment manufacturer.
Ms.
Gorman is actively involved in the Capital Area Echo Society.
She is also a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.

A Fond Farewell
The
ICAEL Board of Directors and staff bid a fond farewell to Cassie
Robbins, RDCS, FASE. Ms. Robbins joined the ICAEL as Technical
Manager in 2001. In November 2003, she was named a Fellow of
the American Society of Echocardiography. The ICAEL wishes to
thank Ms. Robbins for her five years of commitment, efforts
and contributions to the organization.
